Nights in Memphis are hotter than ever when Myron Mays of WRBO Soul Classics 103.5 is on the mic. Each week night, Myron delivers a resurgence of energy for late night party goers, third shift workers, and those who routinely spend their days dreaming, instead of their nights.
A native of Memphis, TN, Myron began his broadcast career in 1994, after graduating from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. He made his broadcast debut at WSAO-AM in Senatobia, MS and later landed a position as an on-air personality at WKRA-AM in Holly Springs, MS. He then migrated to popular Gospel station WLOK-AM in Memphis, TN and his big break finally came when he accepted a position at WRBO, Memphis’ #1 station for Soul and R&B. For the past three years, Myron has dominated late nights as "Myron at Midnite," delivering a delicious mix of the best old school and today’s R&B, peppered with entertainment news and his own brand of hilarious commentary.
A skilled writer, Mays has been recognized as a dual threat while serving as the weekly entertainment columnist for the Memphis’ only African American newspaper, The Tri-State Defender. His column, "What's Happening Myron," gives fans the opportunity to delve a little further into his psyche as he shares his perspective on the world of entertainment. Yet, Myron sees his greatest role as fatherhood and derives much of his joy from his three children.
Be sure to tune in to “Myron at Midnite” each week night as he brings the heat and then read “What’s Happening Myron” to find out what’s cool.
